About

Travel Magazine is about places, seen up close. Old town squares at night, cathedrals you can actually get into, islands with a fee at the jetty, coffee houses with their own rules, and the museums that are worth the queue.

Every post starts with a photograph taken on the road, mostly in Europe, sometimes further out: New York, Baku, the Gulf of Thailand. The picture sets the subject. The text adds what you need before you go: what the place is, why it looks the way it does, when to visit, what it costs, and what to skip.

We check prices, opening hours and rules before we publish and date them when they change often. Cities change their entry fees and traffic rules more often than guidebooks get reprinted, so treat any number here as a starting point and check the official site on the day.

No sponsored stays, no paid placements. Just the places.
